Enjoying a fine time of things in 2026, winning on 3 of his previous 6 completed starts and finishing runner-up at Cartmel in July. Perhaps made effort earlier than ideal when fifth of 6 at Sedgefield (17f, firm) 19 days ago but longer trip might stretch him and is now high enough in the weights.
Fine Point (IRE)
Well-backed winner of a 2m Hexham handicap on only his third start for present yard in May. Has run to a similar level on both completed outings since, most recently when fourth of 6 in handicap hurdle at Sedgefield (17f, firm, 4/1) 19 days ago. Has 5-lb claimer back in the saddle.
Struth (IRE)
Fairly useful middle-distance winner on the Flat. Step up in trip saw him finish closer than previously over hurdles when beaten just over 3 lengths at Perth in July but rather predictably failed to back that up there last month.
Hijo De La Luna (GER)
Barely modest form on the Flat this year and ran to just a similar level when fourth of 10 in handicap hurdle (16/1) at Sedgefield (17f, firm) 19 days ago, picking up an extra place on the run-in. Frame claims again in a thin-looking race.
Wispit Twob (IRE)
Runner-up in academy hurdle on second start in Ireland last November. Made a discouraging start in handicaps for current yard last spring, though, and pulled up on return from 5-month break 12 days ago. Now visored.
On The Bubble
Made a successful start over hurdles at Hexham for Ben Haslam in June 2024 but is 0-29 on the Flat since leaving that yard and looks easy to oppose making handicap debut in this sphere.
Cawthorne Cracker (IRE)
Winless for nearly 2 years but after a couple of less-than-convincing outings over fences, he briefly looked as if he was about to end that streak before being outstayed when runner-up in an 11-runner handicap hurdle (15/2) at Sedgefield (2½m, good) 12 days ago.
Ivynator (IRE)
Long-standing maiden over hurdles and has finished well held on all 3 Flat starts this summer.
