WECHAAD opened his account in a C&D nursery at this meeting last season and having shaped well in just a handful of top-end handicaps this season, Roger Varian's colt earns the vote to double his tally with this return to 7f promising to suit. Heading up the dangers is Samra Green, who upped her game on return/handicap debut when runner-up at Musselburgh back in the spring, with Langstone and Raging Raj another couple worth considering, too.

Comentários Timeform

Military Code
Dual 5f novice winner last year and also a close second in listed races at Sandown and York. Returned with a couple of tame listed efforts but belatedly showed he retains his ability fitted with a hood when fourth of 10 on handicap debut at Newmarket (7f) last month. Unexposed at the trip.
Wechaad (IRE)
Opened his account in a C&D nursery at this meeting 12 months ago. Promising fourth on return at Goodwood in May and has upped his game in both subsequent outings, most recently when third of 8 in handicap at Newmarket (1m, good to firm) in July. Big chance returned to 7f.
Zooming
Progressed in each of her first 3 starts, scoring at Newmarket in November before fifth of 14 in Fred Darling at Newbury on return. Wasn't able to get involved back at 6f in listed race at Goodwood in May and scuppered by the draw in the Sandringham when last seen. Worth another chance.
Langstone
Has looked useful winning novices over C&D and at Kempton in the spring. Took another step forward when second of 14 on handicap debut at Carlisle next start but didn't appear to let himself down on firmer ground than previously in the Britannia when last seen. Better still to come.
Intense Vision
Unbeaten in 2 starts in France last year and running well in defeat for his new yard, shaping considerably better than the result when eleventh of 19 at Glorious Goodwood (1m) in July (left with too much to do). Didn't seem to have any excuses at York since, however. Drops to 7f.
Invincible Will (IRE)
Resumed progress to land a 7f handicap at the Curragh in May by a short head from a next-time-out winner. Quickly back on track when second at Leopardstown (7f, good to firm) back in early-July and worth another chance from this mark.
Ironwill (IRE)
Headstrong sort who landed the third win of his career when getting up in the final strides at Newmarket in July. Confirmed that he's still in good form turned out quickly when fourth of 11 at Goodwood (7f, soft) just over a fortnight ago and not without each-way hope.
Ourbren (IRE)
Fairly useful performer at up to 1m but has had her limitations exposed at listed/Group 3 level. Makes handicap debut back from a 10-week break and others more appealing.
Flight Control (IRE)
Made a winning start in 6f novice here in April and doubled his tally in a 12-runner handicap at York (7f) in July, pulling clear with another unexposed rival. Shaped well taking on his elders from 4 lb out of the handicap at Ripon (6f) last month and this return to 7f promises to suit.
Samra Green (IRE)
Saxon Warrior filly who made a winning start in 7f maiden at Haydock in August 2025 but flying too high in the Rockfel the following month. Improved plenty upped to 1m following a 7-month absence when second of 11 at Musselburgh (1m, good) in April but not seen since. Remains with potential.
Raging Raj (IRE)
Dual all-weather winner in November who scored from the front at Yarmouth (7f) in June (final outing for Jane Chapple-Hyam). Doubled his tally for the year at Thirsk last month and ran at least as well from 10 lb higher when second of 8 at Ascot (7f, good) 9 days ago. Considered up 1 lb.
Aspiral
Carlisle maiden winner in July 2025 who took a big step forward when making all on nursery bow at Ayr last September. Raced rather too keenly back at 1m when eighth of 10 in listed race at Newmarket in November and hasn't been seen since.
Inishbeg (IRE)
£500,000 buy who made it fourth time lucky when seeing off 13 rivals in 7f Thirsk maiden (good) in April. Shaped better than result when eighth of 14 on 7f York handicap debut next time but seemed unsuited by the longer trip at Carlisle (1m) back in May (also looked hard ride). Gelded since.
Lion Of Mali
Has enjoyed a most productive campaign and improved again to rack up his fifth success impressively in 6-runner event at Newbury (7f, firm) last month. Up another 6 lb but no reason why he won't be in the mix again.
