A trappy sprint in which it could be worth taking a chance on ROCK OPERA, who hasn't been seen on synthetics since November 2024 but Richard & Peter Fahey's 6-y-o has dropped to a handy mark and attracted good support at Doncaster last month. Diligent Resdev promises to be suited by this return to 6f, so he's put forward as the main threat, with Moving Force and Modern Times also fancied to be in the mix, too.

Comentários Timeform

Moving Force (IRE)
Missed the whole of last season but back to his best when twice runner-up for new yard this season, clear of rest on latter occasion in 6f Wolverhampton handicap just under 5 weeks ago. Not out of things reunited with Billy Lougnane.
Star Chorus (IRE)
Four-time course winner but below form back up in grade when eleventh of 16 at Windsor (6f, good to firm) last month. Return to all-weather could spark a revival (C&D winner when last seen in February).
Diligent Resdev
Ran well several times in good handicaps last year and stepped up on an underwhelming comeback run when sixth of 11 at Beverley (7.4f) in May. Failed to back that up at Doncaster the following month but this return to 6f promises to suit back from 11-week break.
Kirkdale (IRE)
Has returned an improved model this year, able to overcome slow starts when recording back-to-back wins at Wolverhampton and over C&D in April. Needs things to drop right but considered in hat-trick bid after 5-month break provided he's ready to roll.
Papa Cocktail (IRE)
Largely consistent handicapper who typically gave running back on turf when fourth of 10 at Doncaster (5.6f, firm) just under 3 weeks ago. Should give another good account.
Tyger Bay
Resumed winning ways at Chelmsford (6f) in March. Only raced 3 times since and shaped as if needing the run after 12 weeks off when fifth of 6 at Windsor (6f, good to soft) 5 days ago.
Modern Times
C&D winner in July and made it 2 from 2 for his new yard when seeing off 7 rivals at Epsom (6f, firm) just under 3 weeks ago, just doing enough to overcome a 3 lb rise. Nudged up another 3 lb and a reapplied visor could well eke out that bit extra. Respected.
Flowstate (IRE)
Got back on the up returned to a track that seems to bring out the very best in him when winning 7-runner event at Newcastle (7f) when last seen 6 months ago. 4 lb rise to defy but not out of things if fully tuned up.
Prince Of Pillo (IRE)
Dual winner in the first half of 2025 (including over C&D) but has returned from a break not firing on all cylinders, eleventh of 17 at Ayr (6f, good to firm) when last seen a couple of months ago. Handicapper given him a chance.
Rock Opera
Ended a lengthy losing run minus usual visor at Pontefract (6f) in June and ran at least well when runner up over same C&D later that month. Struggled to land a blow in 3 starts since (latest over 7f) and this is his first all-weather outing since November 2024. Worth chancing.
Dorney Lake
Capitalised on a much-reduced mark at Doncaster in July and back to winning ways at over C&D last month, leading over 1f out. Ran as well as could've been expected in a much deeper race when eighth of 20 at Ripon (6f, good to firm) since so not without each-way hope.
Beauzon
Completed a remarkable 7-timer in typical fashion from the front at Wolverhampton (6f) in March. However, from his lower mark on turf he's finished down the field on his last 4 starts, including at Newmarket the last twice. Return to all-weather needs to spark a revival.
