C&D winner last summer and returned to form when runner-up here in June. Backed that up when narrowly denied at Carlisle last time, so he can make his presence felt from 4 lb below his last winning mark.
Ziggy's Condor (IRE)
Successful 3 times over 6f for the Fahey yard and ran respectably on debut for this stable at Yarmouth (7f) in May. However, raced too freely here next time, before stumbling and unseating rider at the start at Goodwood (6f) 3 days ago.
Mark's Choice (IRE)
Has worked his way back to form this season, making the frame at Ripon on his last 2 starts. Goes particularly well at that venue (10-time course winner), but he's still capable of getting involved here from his current mark.
Shazani (FR)
Won minor event at this course (1m) last season and placed in 7f handicaps here on his last 2 starts, despite doing a bit too much in front when third on his latest outing. Can give another good account back down in trip.
Come On Over (IRE)
Made the frame twice over C&D in June before getting off the mark here at the beginning of July, the runner-up scoring next time. Not in the same form over 5f at Nottingham 11 days ago, but he could bounce back at this venue.
Ay Gee Ell (IRE)
Sole success came at Southwell (5f) in December. Made the frame back on turf at Thirsk in April, despite not quite seeing things out returned to 6f, but has run poorly over 5f on his last 3 starts.
Startled Lady
Has shown improved form back at 6f with the hood discarded on her last 2 starts, opening her account at Yarmouth 17 days ago. Could be in the mix again now that she's up and running.
Celtic Arrow (FR)
After 4 months off, showed improved form making turf/handicap debut when second of 11 at Thirsk in July, suited by the step back up in trip. Merits consideration with more still to offer after just the 4 starts.
