COLUMBUS shaped well on hurdling/stable debut when runner-up at Killarney in May and is taken to leave behind a lesser effort at Royal Ascot back in this sphere. He gets the vote ahead of Young Rebel, who has changed hands since his impressive bumper victory in November, with Tiktok Casey another to consider.

Comentários Timeform

Atlantic Gamble
6-time winner at around 1m on the Flat. Only modest form over hurdles, though met trouble in running when seventh of 15 in handicap at Ballinrobe on latest outing in May. Has plenty to find.
Columbus (GER)
Smart on the Flat for Christophe Ferland and, having joined this yard for €400,000, shaped promisingly on hurdling debut when second in 2½m Killarney novice in May (form boosted by winner and third since). Tailed off at Royal Ascot but well worth another chance back over hurdles.
Godsend
Quickly progressed into a useful handicapper on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott Bt, recording his fifth win at Nottingham last spring. Good fifth in the Northumberland Vase next outing, though has 13-month absence to overcome on hurdling/stable debut.
Leader Allen (FR)
Useful in bumpers in France in 2024/25, successful on his second run (13f) and going close in Group 3 at Saint-Cloud (1½m) on final outing. Off 15 months but he's one to note as he makes first start since leaving Mlle A-S. Pacault.
Lincoln Mill (IRE)
Runner-up on second of 2 starts in points, before left poorly placed when eighth of 11 in bumper at Tramore in May. Makes hurdling debut.
Tradonthebay (IRE)
Has taken his form up a notch this season, doing well under the circumstances when fifth of 15 on handicap debut at Sligo (21f) in June. Stretched by longer trip when third of 16 at Roscommon (25f) last time, but improvement required in this contest.
Tyson Fury
Useful at best on the Flat and returned to winning ways at Dundalk (10.7f) in March. Yet to score over hurdles but runner-up on last 3 outings in this sphere, making a significant late error in a Killarney maiden (2½m) in July. Down the field on the level here 5 days ago.
Young Rebel (IRE)
Justified support on debut when producing a strong late surge to win a Fairyhouse bumper in November, the runner-up going on to land a Grade 2 at Leopardstown. Has since joined powerful connections from Ms Margaret Mullins and he commands respect on hurdling bow.
Eastwatch (IRE)
Useful performer on the Flat, runner-up in the Irish Lincolnshire (1m) on this season's return. Tough ask in Group 3 at the same course (1¼m) in April, but he could go well on hurdling debut for trainer who landed this race last year.
Finjimk (IRE)
Failed to complete both starts in points and little impact in a bumper/pair of maiden hurdles this summer. Looks to be up against it.
Golden Handshake
Back-to-back winner on the Flat at around 1½m last summer for William Haggas, before failing to give his running on his final 2 outings of the campaign. Off 10 months ahead of hurdling/stable debut.
Hinchinbrooke
Runner-up 3 times on the Flat to end last year, before getting off the mark in a Chelmsford handicap (1¼m) in January. Making first start since leaving Jane Chapple-Hyam, shaped as if better for the run when fifth of 20 in maiden at Cork on hurdles bow 22 days ago.
The Flying Rambler (IRE)
Bred to stay well and was never involved only start in bumpers in April. Some encouragement sent hurdling when eighth of 16 in maiden at Bellewstown 28 days ago, but he looks more one for the longer term.
Youknowthecode (IRE)
Nicely-bred type but well held in a trio of maiden hurdles earlier this year. Gets Jack Kennedy on board for the first time, though he will be of more appeal in handicaps.
Banphrionsa Alainn (IRE)
Offered little first time up when eleventh of 14 in maiden hurdle at Punchestown in January. Off 6 months ahead of first run for yard after leaving Anthony Mullins.
Everyday Life (IRE)
Placed twice from 4 starts in points, but ran a long way below market expectations when well held in a 19f Downpatrick maiden on hurdling debut in June. Hood quickly reached for.
Mystery Decision (IRE)
Retirement Plan mare. Dam unraced out of unraced half-sister to Grand National winner Ballabriggs. Fell on sole start in points in October. Wears tongue strap for Rules debut
Rumble Demosa (IRE)
Has looked in need of the experience in 2 maiden hurdles, never a threat when seventh of 15 at Kilbeggan (19f) 8 days ago.
Tiktok Casey (IRE)
Third on completed start in points and made a successful Rules debut in a Naas bumper in December. Much improved when runner-up in a Leopardstown Grade 2 next time, before mid-field at Aintree in April. Interesting as she starts off over hurdles.
Thedreamistilalive (IRE)
Fitted with tongue strap for debut, was too green to offer much when ninth of 11 in maiden hurdle at Kilbeggan 22 days ago.
Rene's Gold
Sir Percy mare. Dam, 2½m-3m hurdle/chase winner, half-sister to smart hurdler (stayed 2½m) Swamp Fox and smart hurdler/useful chaser (stayed 3m) Knappers Hill. Last of 7 finishers completed start in points in May last year. RESERVE.
Leva Deva (IRE)
Pulled up in maiden hurdle at Sligo (2¼m) in May on debut and tailed off in bumper at the same venue the following month. RESERVE.
Digby Bridge
Golden Horn gelding. Brother to 1½m-13.3f winner Golden Bugle and half-brother to a winner. Dam smart 1m winner. RESERVE.
