Much improved with cheekpieces added when scoring by head from Seven Nation Army on handicap bow at the Curragh (6f) last time. The way he knuckled down suggests 7f could be within range and good-value claimer added following 7 lb hike in the weights.
Banks Of The Boyne (IRE)
Made the most of a handy draw when much-improved, ½-length second on qualifying run at Fairyhouse (6f, 100/1). May well build on that back up in distance for handicap bow.
Bold Commander (IRE)
Fifth behind a couple of next-time-out winners in solid Curragh maiden on debut (6f). Didn't build on his Bellewstown second when beaten favourite on qualifying run at the Curragh latest. No surprise to see him resume progress switched to a handicap/longer trip, though.
Seven Nation Army (GER)
Left previous efforts behind when going close behind I Ready on return from 9 weeks off at the Curragh (6f). Should improve up in trip and makes plenty of appeal in his bid to go one better.
Margot Mae (IRE)
115,000 gns Starspangledbanner filly. Much improved from debut when close third behind exciting prospect Alpha in a Leopardstown maiden (soft) before finishing well held there (good to firm) subsequently. Return to softer ground should suit and opening mark is potentially lenient.
Celtic Moon (FR)
Proved much sharper for debut when winning 9-runner maiden at Bellewstown (1m) by 1¼ lengths earlier this month. Subsequently unsold for €84,000 in recent online sale and needs more to defy opening mark back down in trip.
Eighteenth Smiles (IRE)
Progressed gradually in maidens before finding drop back in trip against him at Navan (6f). Should be seen in a better light now handicapping in first-time cheekpieces, for all Seven Nation Army has the more obvious claims of yard's duo.
Winnie's Wish (IRE)
Makes some appeal on pedigree. No impact in trio of Curragh maidens. Has almost certainly been campaigned with handicaps in mind and needs a market check off lowly opening mark.
