Exibição da Timeform

CHURCHILL BOND is the sole runner with a Group 1 entry and may be good enough to make a winning start for excellent connections. Sea Of Rain has gone close on both starts over C&D and is the clear pick of those with experience, while Villaray is worth nothing for support.

Comentários Timeform

Churchill Bond
Foaled March 27. €300,000 2-y-o, Pinatubo filly. Half-sister to 1m winner Golden Love. Dam, 1m winner, half-sister to very smart winner up to 1m Footstepsinthesand and smart 6f winner Pedro The Great. Group 1 entrant who could add to yard's fine recent record with newcomers (2 from 3 this month).
Citrus Springs (USA)
$300,000 daughter of Olympiad. Shaped as if better for the run when beaten 14¼ lengths on debut at Listowel (6.5f) in late-May. Has been freshened up and ought to be capable of better given her price tag/stable (already had 4 juveniles win second time out this month).
Sherry Eyed (IRE)
Foaled February 19. Pinatubo filly. Dam, placed at 1m-9.5f (would have been suited by at least 1½m), half-sister to useful 1m winner Eternal Silence out of smart 1¼m-1½m winner Princess Highway. Stable having a quiet time of things.
Armarone's Girl (IRE)
Foaled March 10. €34,000 foal, State of Rest filly. Half-sister to 5f-6f winner Another Bertie and winner up to 12.4f Loaded Gun (2-y-o 5f winner). Dam, 2-y-o 7f winner, half-sister to 5f winner (would probably have stayed 1m) Roxan. Has a pedigree of contrasts and other newcomers more appealing.
Sea Of Rain (IRE)
Steadily-improving filly who was narrowly denied over C&D second time up. Solid efforts in defeat both starts since, pulling clear of the rest when ½-length third in fairly useful maiden over C&D a week ago. Sets the standard of those with experience and should make another bold bid.
Villaray (IRE)
Foaled May 1. Showcasing filly. Dam, 1m winner, closely related to useful 2-y-o 9f winner Green Storm out of smart winner up to 1½m (2-y-o 7f winner) Banimpire, won Royal Whip/Ribblesdale Stakes and runner-up in Irish Oaks. Usually plenty of market clues when in-form stable fancy one on debut.
Coastal Wonder (IRE)
Foaled May 7. €80,000 yearling, Bayside Boy filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including 1¼m winners Wonderful Times and Wondrous Words. Dam, 2-y-o 6f/7f winner, sister to very smart 7f winner Gustav Klimt. Stable isn't a regular source of debut winners.
Lily Bear (IRE)
Finished runner-up in a barrier trial but never looked like justifying support when too free in a hood over C&D (7f, soft) on debut. Presumably thought capable of better but doesn't look a straightforward ride.
Lusted
Foaled February 28. €6,000 yearling, Hello Youmzain filly. Half-sister to 1½m winner Imperious Man. Dam, 8.5f winner, half-sister to winner up to 7f (stayed 9f) Sofast and 5.5f/6f winner Spiritfix (both smart). Inexpensive purchase is unlikely to make an impact in the short term.
Violet Be Humble (IRE)
Cotai Glory filly. Dam placed over 6f at 2 yrs. Wasn't given a hard time having raced freely when 4½ lengths fourth in a weaker maiden on debut at Bellewstown (1m). Needs to improve, though the drop back in trip may benefit.
Ballymackney (IRE)
Earthlight filly. Steps up in trip having offered little in pair of 5f maidens.
Miss Twilight (IRE)
Foaled May 6. Soldier's Call filly. Dam maiden half-sister to smart 6f-1m winner Fanaar. Probably one for the longer term.
