LITTLE LEDGEND is still a maiden, but he’s proven consistent in handicaps and the addition of first-time cheekpieces could provide the catalyst for a breakthrough success. Veteran Bashful Boy wasn't disgraced over C&D on his latest start and is lurking on a dangerous mark, while Medina Blue is likely to prove a different proposition now handicapping.

Comentários Timeform

Roadshow (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on Flat in France who opened his hurdles account at Sedgefield (17f) in September. Lacked same verve when seventh in a slightly stronger affair at Kempton a month later but entitled to strip fitter for last month's comeback at Newton Abbot. Blinkers on for 1st time.
Blue Universe (IRE)
Still a maiden over hurdles but only gave best to a better-treated rival at Huntingdon in early February and looked the most likely winner when departing at the last at Fontwell 11 weeks later. Given time to get over that since and merits consideration.
Little Ledgend (IRE)
Still a maiden but arrives in good form, tongue tied when second of 7 in handicap at Market Rasen (21f) 40 days ago. Must enter calculations with cheekpieces added.
Achille Des Rocs (FR)
Made an inauspicious return from 12 months off at Market Rasen in April, going in snatches and struggling when pulled up after 5 out. Possibly still needed the run back over hurdles after a further 9 weeks off at Southwell but that is perhaps a charitable excuse.
Estacas (GER)
Sole hurdles win came in 2023, but he comes here in decent nick, finishing third of 7 in handicap at Market Rasen (21f) 40 days ago. Should remain competitive.
Midnight Jewel
Likeable front runner who returned to winning ways in a handicap chase at Fontwell in September. Pulled up last 2 starts and now reverts to hurdling after a break.
The Grayster (IRE)
Showed some promise when second of 6 in a Doncaster juvenile on debut in November. Failed to improve at Haydock prior to looking a hard ride back at aforementioned track last time. First run for yard after leaving Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole. Has had a breathing operation.
Bashful Boy (IRE)
Veteran who seems more effective on the Flat nowadays but wasn't disgraced with blinkers retained on his return to hurdling when third of 5 over C&D 12 days ago. Tongue strap back on and dangerous to dismiss from a much-reduced mark.
Pivotal Days
Fair Flat winner for Ed Walker who showed a bit more than previously in this sphere when sixth of 9 in a C&D maiden in May. Well held both starts back on the level since ahead of this switch to handicaps.
The Padster (FR)
Finished a remote second in first-time cheekpieces in 8-runner handicap at Hereford (2½m, good to firm) in May.
Medina Blue (IRE)
Has caught the eye in qualifying runs and likely to prove a different proposition now handicapping.
Quick Of The Night
Dual course winner who essentially had every chance with a run under her belt when third of 8 in 2m handicap here 12 days ago. Back up in trip and likely to prove vulnerable once more.
Gone In Sixty
Showed no ill-effects from Fakenham fall when second in a steadily-run handicap at Southwell in June. Fared best of those ridden prominently at Market Rasen (21f) since but overall record of 1 win in 39 starts is uninspiring.
