SAINT POLO seemed to benefit from a more positive ride with a tongue strap added when readily getting off the mark at Stratford last week and, unpenalised for that, his follow up claims look crystal clear. Cogital has tasted success on each of his last 2 visits here and is next best, ahead of Linden Lane.

Winless since 2024 and a drop in grade failed to have positive effect when last of 7 in a Warwick handicap (21f) 5 weeks ago, jumping ponderously and tailed off 3 out. Drop in trip needs to have a positive effect now.
Roadshow (IRE)
Fairly useful winner on Flat in France who opened his hurdles account at Sedgefield (17f) in September. Lacked same verve when seventh in a slightly stronger affair at Kempton a month later and he now returns from 10 months off retired in cheekpieces.
Saint Polo (FR)
In good hands and he built on earlier promise returned to hurdling with a tongue strap added when readily opening his account under a positive ride at Stratford (19f) last week. Escapes a penalty for that success and his follow up claims are strong.
Chillhi (IRE)
Won twice over hurdles for James Owen in first half of last season but hasn't offered much for present yard, jumping sketchily when well beaten at Uttoxeter (23f) 10 days ago. Remains with plenty to prove back down markedly in trip.
Cogital
Veteran who represents a stable in form and gained a second C&D success in as many visits here when landing a 12-runner contest at the start of the month. Subsequent 4 lb rise asks for more but respected nevertheless.
Ugo Bingo (FR)
Ran no sort of race at Wincanton in April and wasn't sufficiently revived by a 7-week break/change of headgear (cheekpieces refitted) when seventh behind Cogital over C&D 3 weeks ago. Finds himself on a handy mark if stepping forward from that but recent record is patchy.
Applejack Poet (IRE)
Just the one win over hurdles for Miss Elizabeth Doyle in Ireland but didn't fare at all badly when last seen over fences in the autumn and now returns to hurdles for new yard who have been amongst the winners of late. Market can guide.
Linden Lane (IRE)
Maiden who was in reasonable order to start 2026 and dispelled a pair of lesser efforts from much-reduced mark when third of 6 in a C&D handicap 11 days ago. Now his task is to back that up.
