Exibição da Timeform

SATONO REVE was no match for Ka Ying Rising in the Chairman's Sprint Prize at Sha Tin last time, but there's certainly no disgrace in that and he's taken to go one better than in this race last year. Joliestar has developed into one of Australia's leading sprinters and has an excellent chance on ratings if adapting to the unique demands of Ascot, while Lake Forest is also very interesting back at a sprint trip for the first time in a while.

Comentários Timeform

Almeraq
Very impressive in running out a wide-margin winner of an 18-runner 6f handicap at Ayr last summer and was set to go close when badly hampered and falling in a listed race at York in September. Gained compensation on his Salisbury reappearance and could still be capable of even bigger performance.
Aramram (IRE)
Picked up where he left off last season when landing a listed race at Doncaster on reappearance, scoring by a length from Jasour. Solid efforts in defeat since but has a lot more on his plate now.
Comanche Brave (IRE)
Left 6 lengths in Ka Ying Rising's wake in Group 1 at Sha Tin but returned from his International travels with a dominant display when winning 10-runner Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh (6f, good to firm) 4 weeks ago. Remains unexposed as a sprinter and well worth another crack at this level.
Great Wish (IRE)
Caused a 66/1 upset in listed race at Meydan in January. Not beaten far in Grade 1 there on final outing in March but lacked a change of gear at the business end and looks up against it in an even hotter race.
Jasour
Useful sort but without a win since 2024 reappearance and, while he's run well on all 3 starts this season, he remains easy enough to take on from a win point of view at this level.
Khaadem (IRE)
Veteran who sprang another surprise when landing this race for a second year running in 2024. Suited by a strong pace when adding to his tally in Group 2 at Keeneland in October but both runs this year haven't been brimming with encouragement and he looks up against it.
Kind Of Blue
Smart sort who landed the Champions Sprint at Ascot in 2024 and was back to that sort of level when runner-up in the Sprint Cup at Haydock in September. Disappointing in latest renewal of Champions Sprint but reappeared with a good second in the Minster Stakes at York (6f) last month.
Lake Forest
Very smart performer who went winless last season but ran right up to his best when second in York Group 1 at the Ebor Meeting. Excuses on account of the ground at Flemington on final start and proved himself a cut above the opposition in 7f listed event at Haydock on return. Interesting back at 6f.
Lugal (JPN)
Smart horse who scrambled home in Grade 2 at Hanshin in December. Ran at least as well when just touched off in Al Quoz Sprint at Meydan (6f, good) in March and that form has worked out well, so this Japanese raider shouldn't be underestimated.
Overpass (AUS)
Hasn't tasted success since the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes in 2024 but he's run some fine races in defeat, notably when fourth in last season's Everest behind Ka Ying Rising. Fared best of those ridden close up in King Charles III Stakes earlier in the week but a step up to a stiff 6f is a niggle.
Powerful Glory (IRE)
2-2 as a 2-y-o, including the Mill Reef and resumed his progression with a bang when springing a 200/1 shock in Champions Sprint over C&D in October. Given a very considerate reappearance in the Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh but still needs to prove that earlier success was no fluke.
Regional
Enthusiastic sort who ran a cracker returning from 11 months off when third in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot last year and again showed his effectiveness fresh when filling same spot in Group 2 Minster Stakes at York (6) on return last month. Far from certain to back that up, though.
Sajir (IRE)
Very smart colt who ran out a commanding winner of Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville (6.5f, good to firm) last August. Runner-up in a pair of listed events this year prior to resuming winning ways with a bit in hand in Group 3 at Chantilly (5f) and not one to take lightly back up in trip/grade.
Satono Reve (JPN)
Very smart performer, winning Group 1 for second year running at Chukyo in March. Proved no match once again for Ka Ying Rising in Chairman's Sprint Prize at Sha Tin last time but ran a cracker in this last year and looks sure to go well again. Tops the shortlist.
Stolen Kiss (FR)
Improving French sprinter who completed a hat-trick in 8-runner listed race at Chantilly (6f, good) 47 days ago by ½ length from Sajir, pushed out. Likely to find this a whole lot tougher, however.
Flora Of Bermuda (IRE)
Smart and consistent filly who came in a good third in this race last year and also in the Sprint Cup at Haydock. Had excuses in the Champion Sprint Stakes on final 2025 start and found the drop in grade liberating when bagging 6f Newmarket listed event on return. Has solid each-way claims.
Joliestar (AUS)
Has developed into a very smart mare and one of Australia's leading sprinters, completing a hat-trick in good style in Group 1 at Randwick (6f, soft) in March. Leading chance on ratings if adapting to the unique demands of Ascot.
Sayidah Dariyan (IRE)
Smart filly who bagged the Group 3 Summer Stakes at York (6f) last July. Not at her best in Nunthorpe there and Haydock Sprint Cup later in the year but shaped as if retaining all her ability when 1¾ lengths third of 9 to Flora of Bermuda in Newmarket listed event (6f) on reappearance.
Time For Sandals (IRE)
Sent off a big price but no fluke about her win in Commonwealth Cup at this meeting a year ago. Run best excused from a difficult draw in York Group 2 on second start this season but seemingly had no excuses in King Charles III Stakes here (5f) earlier in the week.
