Exibição da Timeform

CENTIGRADE gives plenty of weight away on the back of a lengthy absence, but he's very much the standout on form and is taken to make a winning return. Likely improvers Sheikhnshah and Slalom are expected to be firmly in the hunt, while Spectical looks an interesting stable debutant for Andrew Balding.

Conselhos de Cash Out da Timeform

Centigrade traded at a high of 2.12 and Betfair SP of 2.60 when winning last time, a race in which it led and travelled strongly early on.

Comentários Timeform

Centigrade (IRE)
Ran subsequent Group 2 winner Jonquil close on debut before hammering a couple now-smart types at Newbury when off the mark at the second attempt in October 2024. Clear form pick and while he has a lengthy absence to overcome, it's interesting that top yard persevere with him.
Keble Forever
Too Darn Hot colt. Dam winner up to 1½m (2-y-o 1m winner), won Lancashire Oaks/Prix Allez France. Yard had plenty of success with his family and he's worth noting on debut.
Moral Victory
42,000 gns foal, €40,000 2-y-o, Bated Breath gelding. Dam, unraced, closely related to smart winner up to 1m Ziegfeld. More likely to be one of the longer term.
Alkaios
Head-strong sort who has finished down the field in a pair of middle-distance maidens. May settle better back over 1m in a first-time hood but is unlikely to make any impact this side of handicaps.
Burning Impact
155,000 gns yearling, Too Darn Hot colt. Half-brother to 3 winners, including smart US 8.5f/9f winner Program Trading and useful 7f-1m winner Bonneval. Dam 2-y-o 1m winner who stayed 1½m, half-sister to Park Hill Stakes winner Silk Sari. Interesting newcomer but likely the stable second string.
Clatford (IRE)
Showed a bit more than on debut when runner-up over C&D in March, but this looks a much deeper race.
Cliff Danger
Much sharper than on debut when fourth in a Nottingham novice (1¼m) but is likely being campaigned with handicaps in mind.
Golden Buddy (USA)
In good hands but only ran to a similar level as on debut here when well held at Wolverhampton and looks bound for handicaps.
Sheikhnshah (FR)
Well-bred son of Persian King who confirmed his debut promise when third at Redcar on return. He's entitled to come on for that outing and has to be high on the shortlist.
Slalom (IRE)
€130,000 No Nay Never colt showed plenty to work on despite being held back by inexperience when third on debut at Kempton (7f) and with improvement expected up in trip, he's a likely player for an excellent yard (also saddle Spectical).
Spectical (IRE)
€450,000 New Bay colt whose debut form at Galway reads well, and he still looked in need of the experience when fourth in a Listowel maiden on final start for Mrs J. Harrington last September. Off since, but he's likely to be capable of better for the Andrew Balding yard.
Star Of The Desert (USA)
Knicks Go gelding. €100,000 2-y-o, 2,000 3-y-o. Half-brother to minor US winner by Malibu Moon. Dam, US 6f winner, half-sister to US 6.5f-1m (Grade 3) winner Super Freaky. Sold cheaply earlier this year and is unlikely to be in contention first time up.
Burrows Silver (FR)
Made an unpromising start when trailing the field in a maiden at Thirsk (7f).
Halimede (IRE)
Bred to need time/distance and has shaped accordingly in a pair of 1m all-weather maidens.
