THICKTHORN TOM barely came off the bridle despite a narrow margin of victory at Newton Abbot last month and with further progress on the cards, Dan Skelton's 6-y-o can double his tally at the expense of Wings On Wheels, who seemingly improved for a change of tactics when runner-up at Worcester last week. Arctic Saint looks best of the rest.

Thickthorn Tom (IRE)
Little impact over hurdles but much more like it over fences, confirming earlier promise with a smooth success at Newton Abbot just (21f, good) over 3 weeks ago. One to keep on the right side of and a 6 lb rise unlikely to prevent the follow up.
Arctic Saint (IRE)
Modest maiden hurdler who fared better sent chasing on the back of a second breathing operation when second of 7 at Sedgefield (21f, good) 10 weeks ago. Cheekpieces reapplied and not out of this.
Shes All Pride (IRE)
Modest maiden hurdler who ran as well as could be expected from 8 lb out of the weights when fifth of 10 in handicap at Stratford (2¾m, good) just under 3 weeks ago. Likely outsider with attentions now switched to chasing.
Getaway Jewel (IRE)
Fakenham scorer last June and having dropped back to that last winning mark, was left too much to do in order to catch the winner in that corresponding event recently. Back up in trip but others more appealing for win purposes.
Chateau Du Lys
Made first real impact in first-time headgear when second at Market Rasen in April but tailed off on both subsequent outings.
