The classy FRIENDLY SOUL was a winner at the highest level as a 3-y-o so looks the one to beat if none the worse for her experience at Haydock (shaped as if retaining all her ability after a long absence). Blue Bolt is another who brings Group 1 form to the table so rates the main threat ahead of Cathedral, who has the ability to run a big race but has the widest stall to overcome.

Comentários Timeform

Jancis (IRE)
Patiently-ridden mare who produced a career best when landing the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket (9f) on return, seen to good effect to reel in Cathedral. Found next run at the Curragh playing out less favourably but she's a player if they go hard here.
Arisaig
Several fine efforts in defeat last season and has continued the good work this time around, second under top weight in Newmarket handicap on return and not beaten far (just behind She's Perfect) in listed race at Goodwood. Tough ask here, however, and will need some luck from stall 1.
Blue Bolt (IRE)
Progressive filly who completed hat-trick when making all in Sandown listed race last summer. Ended her 3-y-o campaign with an excellent second in Group 1 Sun Chariot at Newmarket and looks set for another good season given how she quickened past Kon Tiki when making a winning return at Goodwood.
Carolina Jetstream
All 4 career victories at Dundalk but posted a career best when runner-up in Group 2 at the Curragh last month. However, she was seen to good effect from the front that day and will find this much harder.
Catalina Delcarpio (IRE)
Lightly-raced filly who was seen only 3 times last season but was a decent third when fancied for the Ribblesdale at this meeting. Back down to 1m both starts this spring and she left comeback run well behind when landing a listed event at Leopardstown, suited by strong pace. Can do better again.
Cathedral
Without a win since 2-y-o debut but made the frame 3 times at the highest level last season, including when fourth in Coronation Stakes over C&D at this meeting. All the better for return when good second to Jancis (seen to better effect) in Dahlia at Newmarket. Good chance on form but drawn widest.
Dash Of Azure
Dual handicap winner last season who found plenty of improvement when narrowly beaten in 7f listed race here in October. However, ran poorly at Lingfield on return and plenty to find even if back to her best.
Falakeyah
Made it 2-2 when an impressive winner of a listed race at Newmarket last spring. However, disappointed in 3 starts since, looking a difficult ride (pulls hard).
Francophone
Useful filly but she has been found out at this level twice already this season.
Friendly Soul
Won 4 of her 5 starts as a 3-y-o, notably the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp. Missed the following season but was in the process of showing she retains all her ability back from 20 months off at Haydock before her race was ended by putting her foot in a hole. Can make a bold bid if none the worse.
Godspeed (FR)
French challenger who picked up a Group 2 at Chantilly last summer and was also a good 2¼ lengths fourth of 13 to Fallen Angel in Prix Rothschild at Deauville. Unlucky not to make a winning return in listed event at Longchamp and she's not to be underestimated.
Kon Tiki
Won first 3 starts, completing hat-trick in York listed race last spring. Underwhelming seventh in Coronation Stakes at this meeting final 3-y-o start but made an encouraging comeback after 11 months off when ¾-length second to Blue Bolt in listed race at Goodwood. Can build on that.
Noche Clasica (IRE)
Progressive filly who looked right at home stepped up to listed level when fourth at Haydock last month but likely to find this company too demanding.
Shes Perfect (IRE)
First past post in French 1000 Guineas last year but was subsequently disqualified for interference. Missed second half of last season with an injury but shaped as if retaining ability when third to Blue Bolt in Goodwood listed race on return. Poor run at Epsom since, though, and headgear goes on.
Snellen (IRE)
Held form well last season, good second in the Kensington Palace (straight track) at this meeting before a narrow winner of 4-runner Group 3 at Leopardstown. Typically gave her running on comeback run but likely to find a few too strong here.
