Down in class and taking on some older sprinters it could be worth siding with GREAT SUCCESS. He's tasted a couple of heavy defeats but has been given a big chance by the handicapper and tackles a much weaker race now. Maynora is a big danger having got off the mark at Pontefract in the spring and backed it up despite not being ideally drawn when fourth at Ripon last time. In-form maiden Belling The Cat and Wee Dresser are also considered.

Returned with victory at Newcastle (6f) in February. Reportedly finished lame when last of 8 in handicap there following month though so needs to bounce back after a break.
April Diamond (IRE)
Well held all 3 runs, fifth of 6 in novice at Newcastle (5f) 27 days ago. Much more is required now handicapping and her mark doesn't look generous.
Stormy Pearl
Scored at Hamilton (5f) last July. Encouraging second at Thirsk on return but not so good twice since and slow starts can hinder her.
Great Success
Failed to meet market expectations in a trio of 2-y-o outings and has beaten one rival in handicaps at Leicester (7f) and Ripon (6f) this season. Figures on a handy-looking mark if bouncing back down in grade, though. Strength behind him in the betting again could be significant.
Maynora
Gained a first win at Pontefract (6f) in April and not best drawn when a solid fourth of 9 in handicap at Ripon (6f) 29 days ago. Well in the mix off an unchanged mark.
Wee Dresser
200/1 but much improved on her turf debut (third start) when third of 7 in 6f maiden at Ayr last month. One to consider now going handicapping.
Little Beck Annie
Looks a poor maiden but not discredited after 8 months off with seventh of 11 in handicap at Southwell (7f) 39 days ago. Cheekpieces go on for the first time.
Invincible Annice (IRE)
Ended a losing run at Newcastle (5f) in November but well below that form since and offered little back on turf after 4 months off when twelfth of 17 in handicap at Thirsk (6f) 30 days ago. Visor replaces cheekpieces.
Belling The Cat
Still to win but she comes here in good nick, not best drawn when fourth of 11 in handicap at Catterick (7f) 25 days ago. Firmly in the picture with cheekpieces again sported.
