Irish raider ECLAIRAGE is all about speed and she can build on the promise of her close comeback second at Navan to land this good prize. Recent Goodwood scorer Lexington Blitz, the 2024 winner of this race Dream Composer and unexposed Kinswoman also make appeal in a typically competitive renewal.

Comentários Timeform

Democracy Dilemma (IRE)
Enthusiastic front-runner who proved better than ever when easy winner of 5f handicap at Haydock (good to firm) last autumn. Good third in 5f Lingfield listed event (all-weather) on reappearance and stepped back in right direction after a couple of lesser efforts at Windsor last time. Visor back on.
Another Baar
On the up after being fitted with blinkers last season, completing a four-timer at Goodwood in September. Won a local Group 1 in Bahrain in January but below form in handicaps there both starts since and others make greater appeal on his return from 107 days off.
Lexington Blitz (IRE)
Deservedly resumed winning ways at Catterick (5f, good to soft) last autumn and built on an encouraging return with a career-best victory in an 11-runner handicap at Goodwood (5f, good) 36 days ago by 2¼ lengths from King of Light. Strong-travelling style should lend itself well to this scenario.
Cindy Lou Who
Thrived for current yard last season, notching her fourth success at Bath in September. Ran a cracker on her return when short-head second of 14 in 5f listed event there but couldn't confirm that progress when mid-field back in handicap company at Newbury last time.
Eclairage (IRE)
Speedy filly signed off 2025 with a good fourth of 14 in Group 3 at Dundalk when last seen in October. Collared only late after showing blistering early pace in a 10-runner Navan handicap on return 3 weeks ago and this test of raw pace should prove right up her street.
Stormy Impact
Won the 3-y-o "Dash" at this meeting last season before also scoring at Wolverhampton later in the summer. Looked and shaped as if she'd come on for the run when sixteenth of 21 in handicap at York (5f, good) 23 days ago and she's now below her last winning mark.
Kinswoman
Thrived last autumn, progressing rapidly and winning 3 of last 4 starts, latterly making all in a handicap at Haydock. Only narrowly failed to land the odds in a 7-runner handicap at Yarmouth (good to soft) on her return 24 days ago and there are clearly good pots to be won with her this season.
King Of Light
Really found form in a cheekpieces and tongue tie combination for Stuart Williams last autumn, winning 5f Haydock handicap before creditable fourth of 11 at Ascot (5f, soft). Returned with a good second in a 11-runner race at Goodwood (5f) 36 days ago and he's likely to give another solid account.
Rogue Enforcer
Three wins in Europe last year, including a Milan listed race, but has looked as if working his way back to full fitness when down the field in 2 outings for his current yard.
Ziggy's Triton (IRE)
Won 4 times in 2025 and resumed his progress with victory in 12-runner 0-85 handicap at Musselburgh (5f) in April. Unable to land a blow from higher marks both starts since, though, and it's possible he'll find others better treated again despite being eased 2 lb.
Star Chorus (IRE)
Won twice at Southwell early this year (over 6f on latter start) and was never on terms after his blindfold was removed late returning from a 4-month break at Goodwood 2 weeks ago. Nevertheless, slow starts are a regular issue for him, so he's probably opposable in such a test of speed.
Brazen Bolt
Won big-field 5f handicaps at York and Goodwood last July and looked rejuvenated on the back of a breathing operation when a close second at Thirsk on return. Far from disgraced having tried to keep tabs on the impressive Jakajaro at York last time and he holds sound frame claims.
Betsen
Had been primarily campaigned at 6f by this yard but returned to form dropped back to 5f to win a 6-runner handicap (3/1) at Chepstow (5f, good) 16 days ago, travelling smoothly and always holding the runner-up once ahead. Blinkers go back on and is now 4 lb higher in a deeper race.
Arklow Lad (IRE)
Made it 2 wins from 3 starts for current yard in 5f handicap at Pontefract at the start of April and held his own when fifth in a much stronger race at York 23 days ago (a couple of rivals here further down the field). Sound place claims again.
Dyonisos (FR)
Very much bumped into one when second to Jakajaro at Newmarket in April and put a lesser effort aside when going close in a 10-runner handicap at Goodwood (5f, good) 15 days ago, despite again racing freely. Should remain competitive from this kind of mark.
Emperor Spirit (IRE)
Not the most consistent but he added to his good record fresh when second of 17 in handicap at Ascot (5f, good to firm) 36 days ago. Remains feasibly treated if able to back that up.
Dream Composer (FR)
Won this in 2024 from Democracy Dilemma when trained by James Evans and enhanced a good record when making a successful return/yard debut at Ripon (5f) in April. Nearest finish after a rather troubled passage when fourth of 10 at Goodwood 15 days ago and he's shortlisted with cheekpieces reapplied.
Rhythm N Hooves
Proving relatively consistent without winning at present, making the frame for the fourth time this season when third of 9 in handicap at Windsor (5f, good to firm) 19 days ago. Will need a bit more to make a greater impact in this deeper race, though.
Vintage Clarets
Won at Ascot last summer but yet to really fire in 4 starts this season and others make more appeal despite him having slipped to handy mark.
Almaty Star (IRE)
Had a consistent winter on the all-weather and got his head back in front when making all in 6-runner race at Yarmouth in April. Up 8 lb for that success and will likely find plenty more competition for the lead upped in grade, though speed-favouring track will suit.
